Risk Levels
How Shelfie classifies inventory health
Risk levels are colour-coded badges that summarise a product's aging at a glance.
The four levels
Healthy
0–29 days since last sale. No action recommended.
Warning30–59 days. Consider a small markdown or sale badge.
Danger60–89 days. Apply markdown or clearance pricing.
Dead90+ days. Aggressive action: clearance, archive, or unpublish.
Customising thresholds
Default thresholds (30 / 60 / 90) work for most catalogs. You can override them globally in Settings → Defaults, or per-rule in Settings → Rules.
Recommended thresholds by category
| Catalog type | Warning | Danger | Dead |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apparel (fast fashion) | 21 | 45 | 60 |
| Apparel (basics) | 45 | 90 | 120 |
| Electronics | 30 | 60 | 90 |
| Furniture / home | 60 | 120 | 180 |
| Seasonal | 14 | 30 | 45 |
These are starting points — adjust based on your sell-through rate.
Auto-action on dead transition
When a product crosses from danger to dead, Shelfie queues the matching rule's action as a pending suggestion on the dashboard. Nothing changes in Shopify until you select the product and click Apply.
