How Shelfie handles your data

What we collect

When you install Shelfie, we collect and store only what's needed to operate the app:

From your Shopify store

  • Product data — title, vendor, type, tags, status, inventory level, cost-per-item, price, featured image URL, collections, category, SKU, location IDs
  • Order timestamps — we read the last 365 days of orders to determine each product's lastSoldAt. We do not store order line items, customer details, or payment information
  • Shop metadata — shop domain, name, currency

From you

  • App settings (thresholds, rules, actions) that you configure
  • Optional alert email address

What we do NOT collect

  • Customer names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers
  • Payment or credit card data
  • Order amounts (only timestamps)
  • Browsing/analytics behaviour
  • Any data from outside your Shopify store

Where data is stored

Shelfie runs on Fly.io (US-East region) with a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon (also US-East). All data in transit and at rest is encrypted.

Data retention

  • While installed: product/order data refreshed on every sync; old snapshots retained 30 days for revert capability
  • After uninstall: all shop-specific data deleted within 90 days
  • GDPR data-request webhooks: when implemented (post App Store approval), we'll respond to merchant data-export and customer-redact requests per Shopify's compliance framework

Your rights

You can:

  • Export your Shelfie configuration and snapshots — email support@cooe.au
  • Delete your data immediately — uninstall the app, then email us to confirm purge
  • Audit what we've stored — request a summary via support

Third parties

We do not share data with third parties. Shelfie does not use analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing tools.

Changes to this policy

We'll notify installed merchants by email at least 30 days before any material change to data practices.
