Shelfie

Markdown slow movers

Discount any product that crosses the 60-day mark with one click

This guide sets up Shelfie so that any slow-moving product gets a 20% markdown queued, ready for you to approve in bulk on the dashboard.

Shelfie never applies actions on its own. It surfaces products that need attention and queues the matching action — you review the list and click Apply when you're ready.

1. Open Settings → Actions

The default install creates a 20% Off Markdown action. Verify it exists. If not, create one:

  • Name: 20% Off Markdown
  • Action type: Markdown
  • Params: { "percent": 20 }

2. Edit the catch-all rule

In Settings → Rules, click the catch-all rule (the one with no scope).

  • Warning days: 30
  • Danger days: 60
  • Dead days: 90
  • Auto-action: 20% Off Markdown

Save.

3. Sync and review

Click Re-sync on the dashboard. Any product that has crossed the dead threshold will appear in the at-risk table with the markdown queued as a Pending action.

4. Apply in bulk

On the dashboard:

  1. Filter by rule, vendor, or risk level to narrow the list.
  2. Select the rows you want to discount.
  3. Click Apply on each row (or use bulk apply when available) — Shelfie pushes the markdowns to Shopify.

The Recovered KPI starts tracking real order revenue from each actioned product on the next sync (and in real time once orders/create webhook is registered).

Reverting

If a markdown over-corrects, click Revert on the product row. The original price is restored instantly.
