Shelfie

Quickstart

Install Shelfie and run your first sync in 5 minutes

1. Install

Open the Shelfie listing on the Shopify App Store and click Add app. Approve the requested permissions:

  • Read/write products — needed to apply markdowns, tags, and status changes
  • Read orders — needed to detect when a product last sold
  • Read/write inventory — needed to read stock levels and (optionally) adjust them

2. Run your first sync

After install, Shelfie opens an empty dashboard with a Sync Products button. Click it.

The sync pulls every product, computes how long each one has gone without a sale, and assigns a risk level. Large catalogs (5,000+ products) may take a few minutes.

Tip: Shelfie looks back **365 days** of order history on the first sync. Subsequent syncs are incremental.

3. Review the dashboard

After the sync completes you'll see:

  • Value at Risk — total inventory value sitting in products aging 30+ days
  • Dead Stock (90d+) — count of products with no sale in 90+ days
  • At Risk (30–90d) — products approaching dead-stock threshold
  • Recovered — real order revenue from sales placed after you applied a Shelfie action (starts at $0)

Below the KPIs is a table of every at-risk product, sortable and filterable by rule.

4. Apply your first action

Pick a product from the table and click Apply. Shelfie executes whichever action is configured for that product's rule — by default, the 20% Off Markdown action on the catch-all rule.

The product's price drops in Shopify immediately, and the row updates to show "Action applied". The original price is preserved so you can revert anytime.

5. Set up automatic rules (optional)

Open Settings → Rules to:

  • Change the default aging thresholds (30 / 60 / 90 days)
  • Create per-vendor, per-collection, or per-tag rules
  • Pick a different default action (sale badge, clearance price, archive, etc.)

When a product hits its dead threshold, Shelfie queues the matching action as a pending suggestion. Nothing changes in your store until you review the dashboard, select the products you want, and click Apply.
