Seasonal clearance
Tag-based aggressive clearance for end-of-season inventory
A typical use case: at season's end, you want every product tagged ss24 to drop to 40% off, then archive after 30 more days.
1. Create a "40% Clearance" action
Settings → Actions → Add action
- Name:
40% Clearance - Type:
Clearance price - Params:
{ "percent": 40 }
2. Create an "Archive" action
- Name:
Archive - Type:
Archive - Params: (none)
3. Create the clearance rule
Settings → Rules → Add rule
- Name:
SS24 Clearance - Scope type:
tag - Scope value:
ss24 - Warning days: 0 (immediately at risk)
- Danger days: 1
- Dead days: 1 (skip straight to dead so clearance applies on next sync)
- Auto-action:
40% Clearance
4. Apply
Run a sync. Every product tagged ss24 will queue the clearance action. Open the dashboard, select the rows you want to discount, and click Apply to push the markdown to Shopify.
5. Follow-up archive rule (optional)
To archive remaining SS24 stock 30 days later, create a second rule with the same tag scope but Archive as the action, and deadDays: 30. Higher-priority rules win, so make sure the archive rule has higher priority than the clearance rule.
(Tip: priority is a number on the rule — higher value beats lower. Both rules use the same tag scope, so use priority to control order.)
