Shelfie

Introduction

Recover revenue trapped in slow-moving inventory — without automation you can't control

Welcome to Shelfie

Shelfie surfaces the dead stock in your Shopify store, lets you apply one-click recovery actions, and measures exactly how much revenue you get back — all without a single automatic price change you didn't approve.

The problem every product store has

The average Shopify store has 20–40% of inventory value sitting in products that haven't sold in 60+ days. That's capital locked up, taking shelf space, and quietly losing value. Most merchants know it's there — they just don't have a fast, safe way to act on it.

Spreadsheets are too slow. Automated discounting apps are too risky (they change prices while you're asleep). Manual Shopify bulk edits are irreversible.

Shelfie sits in the middle: it does the analysis automatically, surfaces the right products, and gives you full control over what actually changes in your store.

How Shelfie is different

You approve every action

Unlike automated discounting apps that run on a schedule and change prices without your input, Shelfie never touches your store without your click. When a product hits its threshold, Shelfie queues it as a suggestion. You review the dashboard, select what you want, and press Apply. Nothing changes until you do.

This matters especially for fashion, seasonal, and premium brands where arbitrary automated discounting erodes brand equity.

Rules that match how your store actually works

Shelfie has 8 scope types — most apps have 2 or 3. You can write rules that target a specific product, a vendor, a collection, a tag, a product type, a Shopify taxonomy category, a SKU prefix, or a physical location. Rules resolve by priority, so more specific rules automatically win.

Example: You sell a mix of branded and private-label products. Nike products should never be discounted — they'd lose their MAP. Your own-brand products can go 40% off after 45 days. A single tag rule for Nike overrides the global rule. Done.

True reversibility

Every action Shelfie applies stores a full snapshot of the original state — price, compareAtPrice, tags, status, collection membership. Revert restores exactly what was there before, not an approximation. One click, instant.

Transparent revenue attribution

The Recovered KPI is driven by real orders placed after you applied an action — not estimates, not projections. You can see per-product how much revenue each action generated, and the number resets to zero if you revert.

How it works in 60 seconds

  1. Install and sync
Shelfie pulls your product catalog and looks back 365 days of order history. Every product gets an aging score (days since last sale).
  2. Set your rules (optional — defaults work fine)
A catch-all rule is pre-created. Products aging past 30 days show up as dead stock by default. Add vendor/collection/tag rules to override for specific parts of your catalog.
  3. Review the dashboard
See which products are at risk, what action is queued for each, and the total value tied up. Filter by rule, risk level, or vendor.
  4. Apply
Select the products you want to act on. Click **Apply**. Shelfie executes the configured action in Shopify — markdown, sale badge, clearance, tag, collection, archive.
  5. Measure
The Recovered KPI tracks real order revenue from sales after each action. See what your dead-stock program is actually worth in dollars.
